Friends of Shambhala Mountain Center

Our Friends are people from various practicing traditions who, after experiencing Shambhala Mountain Center's magical, transformative environment, commit to providing support for our center's ongoing development.

As a Friend of Shambhala Mountain Center, you can choose a particular facet to be involved in, or give in a more general sense. The following is a list of four categories to direct your generosity:

Center Operations
The day-to-day life at our retreat center is marked by the rugged stamp of Mother Nature. We have a staff of 55 people who work hard to keep it running smoothly. Keeping our guests happy and healthy is the focus of our Operations Staff.

Children's Center
We put a premium on the family experience at Shambhala Mountain Center. The Children's Center (which is open during the summer months) provides a lively environment for the youngest members of any group. Families can enjoy a retreat setting, with programs designed especially for them.

Scholarship Fund
Each year we try to make 15% of program fees available as scholarships to program participants. It is our hope that no person who wishes to attend our programs is unable to because of financial constraints.

Land, Buildings, and Stupa
The delicate ecosystem at the Center is of utmost importance. This fund helps us to care for trails, roads, trees, and wildlife. The buildings also need continual care, as does the landscaping around them.

Friends of Shambhala Mountain Center should consider this mountain retreat to be their home. We hope that you will join us in actively connecting yourselves in a personal way with the Center by becoming a Friend.
