Join us for a week or more in late summer and help us with the take-down of our seasonal tent village. Enjoy working in our mountain meadows and wooded hillsides, practicing meditation, participating in some of our renowned programs, and making new friends.
In exchange for your service, Shambhala Mountain Center provides tent housing (and dorms later in September), meals, access to meditation instruction, classes, and group activities. You will also earn $100 in program credits each week which can be used at SMC for up to two years. The schedule includes five 6-hour days each week. Weekends are usually free time unless the work schedule is affected by weather.
It is preferable to participate for at least several weeks or for the entire Fall Take-Down program; however, it is also possible to come for a minimum of one week (unless it is the last week). Arrival days are on Sundays and departure days are on Sundays. Please plan to arrive and depart on these days only.
While we have a lot of fun, please be aware that the Center is located high in the Rocky Mountains (about 8,000’), and the work can be physical and rigorous. Please consider this before applying.
