Title: Program Staffing Coordinator
Reports to: Programs Manager
Classification: Core Staff
To ensure that programs are appropriately and effectively staffed.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
In conjunction with the program manager, identify program staffing needs for upcoming programs in a timely manner. Invite appropriate people to staff programs, including all necessary communications. Develope and maintain positive relations with potential and on-going individuals that staff programs. Ensure that all program staff are registered in the SMC database, and through liaison with the housing coordinator are appropriately housed. Assist with staffing for Advanced Shambhala Buddhist Programs such as Warrior Assembly, Sutrayana Seminary, Dathün, etc. Work in conjunction with senior teachers and Shambhala International. Ensure appropriate, timely communications with Program Coordinators regarding staffing details and specific issues related to their programs. Provide on-going logistical support to the Program Manager.
Minimum completion of Shambhala Training Level 5, with the ideal candidate having completed Vajrayana Seminary and/or Warrior Assembly. Ability to work in highly stressful and conflictual situations in a professional and uplifted manner. Ability to work effectively with senior teachers, students in this and other lineages. Able to give and receive feedback in a constructive and appropriate manner. Ability to establish boundaries. Ability to work with details. Sound judgment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Capacity to work with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
