For Meditators, Peace Amounts to "Nothing"
Denver Post - November 14, 2004
Tired of presidential campaigns, battleground dispatches or even office politics? One Colorado nonprofit advocates this simple solution: "Do Nothing for Peace."
The Shambhala Mountain Center near Red Feather Lakes is asking people to meditate regularly at home, at the office or on top of a mountain - and raise money in the process.
"World peace starts within each of us," explains Jeff Waltcher, the center's executive director. "When we have inner peace, we can be at peace with those around us."
That inner peace can also help build tangible assets, with "Do Nothing" participants pledging money for physical improvements at the Rocky Mountain retreat.
