One Breath, Twelve Steps: Buddhist Contemplative Practices for Recovery

In this retreat we will explore the use of Buddhist mindfulness, wisdom, and compassion practices in addiction recovery. With meditation, lecture, discussion, and interactive exercises, we will look at how the 12 Steps can be understood through the lens of Dharma. Introductory meditation instruction will be offered.
Kevin Griffin is the author of the seminal recovery book, One Breath at a Time: Buddhism and the Twelve Steps, and A Burning Desire: Dharma God and the Path of Recovery. A longtime Buddhist practitioner and 12-Step participant, he is a leader in the mindful recovery movement and a co-founder of the Buddhist Recovery Network.
