Dancing into the Light: Anusara Yoga and Meditation Retreat with Jeanie Manchester & Cindy Lusk

February 27 – March 1, 2009

Celebrate the dance of yoga, the dance of life!
The image of the Lord of The Dance, Shiva Nataraja, is one of the most rich, evocative, and symbolic images for modern yoga students. We will explore the myth and teaching of Nataraja as his story is the story of our path of yoga and of our dance with life. As students of yoga we long to understand the meaning of our lives. Why do we practice yoga? How do we engage our lives and share our gifts with each other and with community? We will explore these questions through the myth of the dancer, as well as through yoga and meditation practice, writing, and discussion.

Cindy Lusk, PhD, has been practicing yoga since 1985, studying extensively with John Friend, Richard Freeman, and Douglas Brooks, among many others. She is a certified Anusara Yoga instructor. Cindy began teaching in 1994, first in Boulder, Colorado, and subsequently throughout the nation.

Jeanie Manchester, a certified Anusara teacher, has studied closely with master teachers John Friend, Dr. Douglas Brooks, and Richard Freeman. Her classes blend the precision of the universal principles of alignment with story and myth as a means to take us deeper into the mystery of the yogic process.
