Summer Werma Retreat with Individual Talks by The Kongma Sakyong, Jamgön Mipham Rinpoche and Six AcharyasJuly 2 – 16, 2009
This retreat has been shortened to one week, July 2nd to 9th. Click here to be redirected to the program page for the weeklong program.
The Werma Sadhana is key for understanding and manifesting the vision of the Kingdom of Shambhala. When we see the world with the eyes and heart of the Rigden, we can tune into the kingdom of awareness on the spot. The fruition of the magical practice of the Werma Sadhana reveals itself in our ordinary lives. When we see the world with the eyes and heart of the Rigden, a new life unfolds—a life filled with natural wonder, joy, caring, exertion, and contentment. The focus of this retreat will be on intensive practice and study of The Roar of the Werma sadhana. The program will not have one teacher leading us throughout the entire retreat. Instead, the Kongma Sakyong, Jamgön Mipham Rinpoche and six Acharyas will separately visit the retreat at different times to give talks. Acharyas Dale Asrael, Gaylon Ferguson, Arawana Hayashi, Allyn Lyon, Judith Simmer-Brown, and Eric Spiegel will each address the participants on various aspects of the view and practice. The retreat will be an excellent preparatory program for those interested in attending the Scorpion Seal Assembly in the future. If you are unable to come for the entire program you are welcome to join us for either Week I July 2 to 9, or Week II July 9 to 16. Prerequisite: Open to participants who have previously received the The Roar of the Werma sadhana practice. Note: This retreat takes place over the same dates as the Scorpion Seal Assembly. Werma practitioners are strongly encouraged to apply for and attend the Scorpion Seal Assembly. The Summer Werma Retreat offers practitioners who are not ready for Scorpion Seal Assembly the opportunity to deepen their Werma practice. Also, while partial participation is not available for the two week Scorpion Seal Assembly, it is possible to attend either of the individual weeks of the Werma retreat. So the Werma retreat is an option for those who do not have the time to attend the entire two week Scorpion Seal Assembly. Please arrive between 10am and 4pm. Early arrival is encouraged. No program activities are scheduled for the departure day. View Detailed Program Information. |
