Tai Chi and mindfulness meditation uncover our inherent gentleness, stability, presence, and flexibility. By profoundly reducing stress and increasing our ability to respond to everyday life with awareness, balance, and skill, we discover the precious medicines for this era of impatience, anxiety, and hurry. In this retreat, beginning practitioners will learn the basics of sitting meditation and Tai Chi. Advanced practitioners will focus on integrating these two wisdom traditions.

Larry Welsh M.Ac. has been a practitioner of Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism and student of the late Vidyadhara, Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche since 1977. He has trained in the Yang style short form of Tai Chi Ch'uan for over 30 years with the closest senior students of the late Professor Cheng Man-ch'ing, and is senior adjunct faculty in the Traditional Eastern Arts program at Naropa University. He practices Japanese Classical Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, and Whole Food Nutrition in Boulder, Colorado, and is senior acupuncturist at Bridges Integrative Healing Services, a part of Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
