Deep Listening: A Yoga Workshop in Denver with Wendy BramlettOctober 17, 2009
This program has been canceled.
Sensation is the language of the body. In this daylong program at Loews Denver Hotel, we will explore yoga as a context for developing rich somatic dialogue. As we cultivate sensitivity and subtlety in our practice, we will become more engaged with the whispering communications of the body and observe its wisdom speaking quietly and clearly. We will begin to notice the quality of our movement improving, our tissues opening more easily, and our nervous system calmed by the stirrings of awareness directed into the body’s deep layers. With our efforts gently and mindfully placed, our yoga becomes less muscular, more soulful, and thoroughly rejuvenating. This program is open to all levels of students, including enthusiastic beginners. Wendy Bramlett is the founder of Studio Be Yoga in Boulder, Colorado. She became involved with the study and practice of yoga at the age of 18, and has been teaching for 28 years. Wendy’s creative teaching style reflects her deep understanding of the body, and emphasizes the dynamic interplay of focused action and receptive awareness. The program price ($95 with preregistration) includes tuition and lunch (meal, tax, beverage, and gratuity) at the Tuscany Restaurant in the hotel. For those traveling or not wanting to travel, Loews Denver Hotel is offering a room rate of as low as $95 for Friday and Saturday nights (you may contact the Loews Denver Hotel at 303-639-1616 between 8am-5pm MT). Parking is free at the hotel. Preregistration is highly encouraged. If openings are still available, the charge for day of event registration will be $115. The program will run from 9am to noon and 1:30pm to 4:30pm. Please plan to arrive at the hotel by 8:45am. View Detailed Program Information. |
