Romantic Love, Everyday Disappointment: Meditation & Relationships with Acharya Judith Simmer-BrownApril 9 – 11, 2010
There is nothing as delicious as falling in love and nothing as devastating as falling out of it. When this happens, we have a unique opportunity to open more fully to our experience and to more complete relationships with others. We will explore the romantic expectations of love relationships and how, through meditation practice, we might work more closely with the dynamics of masculine and feminine, independence and intimacy. This weekend includes meditation and is intended for individuals or couples interested in a mindful Buddhist perspective on romance.
Acharya Judith Simmer-Brown, Ph.D., is a professor of Buddhist Studies at Naropa University and director of the Ngedon School of Higher Studies. She is also author of Dakini's Warm Breath: The Feminine Principle in Tibetan Buddhism. She travels and teaches in North America, Europe, and Asia, teaching meditation practice, Buddhist philosophy, tantric Buddhism, and inter-religious dialogue.
