Mindful Living in Stressful Times with Janet Solyntjes

March 4 – 7, 2010

Discover the healing power of mindfulness and the joy of connecting to your mind and body in a fresh way.
This program has been cancelled.

How can we engage the demands of our lives without creating stress, tension, and dissatisfaction? How can we face threatening illness, personal crisis, chronic pain, and discomfort without falling into habitual patterns based on fear, putting our health at risk and our private world in chaos? By mindfully meeting each moment with an open heart and mind we can reduce stress, enhance health, and increase joy and appreciation for life. In this retreat, we will explore the powerful tools of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR)—sitting and walking meditation, mindful yoga, body scan, and periods of silence—as described by Jon Kabat-Zinn in Full Catastrophe Living.
