OM Yoga: Revealing the Secrets of Vinyasa with Cyndi LeeMay 28 – 31, 2010
OM yoga is an invitation to wake up to “in between” moments just as much as the stillness of each asana. How we get from one place to another, what initiates an action, what is the intention behind it and what are the results of our actions – these are path investigations for yogis which reveal the inner aspect of vinyasa and help us understand the connectivity of all things.
Vinyasa, the process of arising, abiding and dissolving, can refer to anything -- each inhale and exhale, day into night, every season, every life. Through creative, fun vinyasa sequences and Cyndi's clear and seasoned approach to yoga as a vehicle for mindfulness and compassion we'll take a careful look at how we all tend to fall out of alignment and awareness in the transitional moments of our vinyasa practice and our life. Starting small and slow, building up to fuller movements and ever more engaging combinations, you'll learn the secret toe movement, clarify the whereabouts of the shoulders in Upward Dog, explore the romance of the pelvis and discover physical landmarks to evolve your asana from exercise to an integrated experience of yoga. Prerequisites: Some yoga experience is suggested, but it is not essential. Recommended Reading: Yoga Body Buddha Mind by Cyndi Lee.
