Join us as we clear our minds and bodies through the practice Gitananda yoga, an ancient yogic lineage that engages the breath, or pranayama, as a central focus, along with movement, mindfulness, vocalization, and visualization. Adapting to anyone’s body, whether stiff or athletically toned, Gitananda yoga leads to a natural and enduring meditative state. Gitananda yoga adapts to anyone’s body, whether stiff, out-of-shape, or athletically toned. You can expect to be less troubled by anxious thoughts and more fully experience your life as it really is, moment to moment.
Ravi Dykema, Yogiraj was adjunct professor of Yoga at Naropa University for sixteen years, where he created the Yoga Concentration in the Traditional Eastern Arts bachelor’s degree program. He was given the title "Yogiraj" (yoga master) by his guru, Swami Gitananda, during his four-year residency at Ananda Ashram in Pondicherry, India in the 1970's. He is author of a college textbook on yoga, Yoga for Fitness and Wellness.
