Zen Heart: A Path of Awakening with Elizabeth Hamilton & Ezra Bayda
|
March 15 - 18, 2007 This program has been cancelled. Join us for a weekend of practice in the Zen tradition. Together we will cultivate the qualities of stillness, or abiding in chaotic experience with equanimity; clear seeing, or seeing beyond conditioned beliefs; and lovingkindness, resting in the heart of connectedness. The program will include a variety of contemplative practices: silent sitting meditation, mindful walks (outdoors as weather permits) and qigong, as well as talks and teacher-student interviews.
Elizabeth Hamilton, a Zen practitioner for 30 years, began teaching in 1994. She teaches at Zen Center of San Diego with Ezra Bayda, her practice partner and husband. Her first book, Untrain Your Parrot--and Other No-Nonsense Instruction on the Path of Zen, will be published by Shambhala Publications in Spring 2007. Elizabeth and Rosa Parks co-founded the West Coast Branch of the Rosa Parks Institute in 1992.
Ezra Bayda has been practicing meditation for 30 years. Author of Being Zen, At Home in the Muddy Water and Saying Yes to Life (Even the Hard Parts), he lives, writes and teaches at Zen Center San Diego.
The registration date for this program has already passed. |
