at Shambhala Mountain

Family Camp with Kerry Lee MacLean, Lisa Cargerman & Leland Williams

June 25 - July 2, 2007

Enjoy a precious opportunity to celebrate our extended community of families and practice together, while experiencing the beauty of the land at Shambhala Mountain Center. During the mornings, while your children attend Shotoku or Rites of Passage, take time for yourself to meditate, exercise or relax. During the afternoons and evenings, partake in family activities such as Ikebana, calligraphy, kite flying, storytelling and singing. Join us as we appreciate the richness of our families and our friendships, old and new.

Kerry MacLean has directed the Shambhala Children's Rites of Passage for 10 years both in Boulder and at Shambhala Mountain Center. The mother of five meditators and author of Peaceful Piggy Meditation and The Family Meditation Book, she travels throughout the United States, Europe and Australia, helping Buddhist communities develop high-quality programs for children and their families. She received a BA from Naropa University in psychology.

Lisa Cargerman, PhD, is a child and family psychologist who coordinates Family Counsel and The Parenting as a Path Group at Boulder Shambhala Center. She also teaches family yoga and conflict-resolution classes. Lisa, her husband and her three children consistently use meditation techniques to enhance mindfulness in their home.

Leland Williams has coordinated and assistant-directed Rites of Passage in Boulder and at Shambhala Mountain Center.

Lisa and Leland coordinated Family Camp in 2006.

Base price (double cabin-tent accommodations) is $479 for adults and $265 for the first child. Each additional child is $215. Please register each family member separately, noting the names of all family members attending the program in the Comments section at the bottom of the registration page for each person. We will email you the total cost and deposit amount (35% of the total cost) for your family.
