Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human with Kunga Dawa
|
November 9 - 11, 2007 This program is full. Please consider attending our next Shambhala Training Level I program scheduled for February 22 to 24, 2008.
Shambhala Training is a secular meditation training that develops fearlessness, confidence, openness and gentleness towards ourselves and our world. These qualities arise out of meditation practice and study of Shambhala warriorship. Shambhala Training welcomes people of all religious traditions as well as those who do not follow a particular spiritual path.
In Shambhala Training Level 1: The Art of Being Human we will learn to experience the world as sacred and see basic goodness as our birthright.

Kunga Dawa (Richard Arthure) was a close student of the great Tibetan meditation master Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. He was the first Westerner trained by Trungpa Rinpoche as a meditation instructor and authorized by him to transmit the Buddhist teachings. He traveled to India, Sikkim and Bhutan with Trungpa Rinpoche, and served as his private secretary for several years. Richard was a cofounder of Karmê Chöling in Vermont, and has traveled and taught extensively in the U.S., Canada and Europe. In 2003 he completed a three-year retreat. He is the author of a book of poems, Bone Ornaments and Mirrors, and a forthcoming book, Confusion into Wisdom.
