Warrior Assembly with Acharya Eve Rosenthal & David Sable

The culmination of the Shambhala Training Sacred
Path
series, this 10-day warrior’s retreat provides a
living teaching in creating enlightened society. We will
receive transmission and training in the advanced
Shambhala practices of stroke and lungta, and study
the root text The Golden Sun of the Great East.

Prerequisites: Completion of the Shambhala Training Sacred Path programs through Golden Key.

Acharya Eve Rosenthal has been part of the Shambhala community since 1973. The resident director of Shambhala Training in New York City in the mid-’80s, she has taught many Shambhala and Buddhist programs in North America and Europe. Eve is a long-time practitioner and instructor of Tai Chi Ch’uan. She is currently an associate professor of information technology at Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

David Sable, an early student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche, began teaching Shambhala Training in 1980. Director of the Shambhala Meditation Center in Washington, DC, for eight years, he is now a senior teacher at the Shambhala Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. David is also a part-time faculty member in the Religious Studies Department of Saint Mary’s University in Halifax, working as an education and training consultant to universities, government and the private sector, and studying the impact of contemplative practices on critical thinking.

If you are interested in attending Warrior Assembly, you must apply for and be accepted into the program. For information and an application, click here to visit the Shambhala Warrior Assembly web site. Please submit the program application as instructed and upon acceptance register below with Shambhala Mountain Center.

Note: acceptance alone does NOT guarantee your place in the program. You must register with Shambhala Mountain Center to reserve your place. This program filled in 2007, and it is possible that students may be accepted into the program and subsequently not be able to register if the program has reached capacity. Therefore you are strongly encouraged to register immediately upon notification of your acceptance. The payment schedule for the program is as follows: 50% due upon registration with Shambhala Mountain, and 50% due on May 18, 2008.
