Shambhala Thanksgiving Retreat & Autumn Celebration

November 27 - 30

Join us for a uniquely Shambalian Thanksgiving as we give thanks and celebrate our community, our teachers, our practice and our connection to the land. Acharya Jeremy Hayward will lead us in the practices of sitting meditation, Stroke, Werma, carving and feasting, with special emphasis on the practice of the Werma Sadhana. New and old practitioners are welcome. There will be plenty of activities for the children.

Acharya Jeremy Hayward received his doctorate in physics and biology from Cambridge University in England. He has been studying and practicing Buddhism since 1967, and became a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche in 1970. He helped found Naropa University under the guidance of Chögyam Trungpa, where he served as vice president and later as a trustee. Co-author of Warrior-King of Shambhala: Remembering Chogyam Trungpa, and co-creator of the Shambhala Training program, Jeremy conducts seminars and retreats on Shambhala and Buddhism throughout North America and Europe.

Shambhala Mountain Center wishes to thank the Shambhala and front range communities for their ongoing support by offering this program at substantially discounted rates. Members of a Shambhala center or Shambhala meditation group are invited to attend the retreat at a price 50% below our usual room and board rates. For non-members we offer a 25% discount. Priority for upgraded housing will be given to participants staying all three nights. Please join us for this special celebration of our Shambhala lineage with one of our most beloved teachers!
