The Shaman's Way of Healing: An Introduction to Healing the Luminous Body with Alberto Villoldo

February 27 – March 1, 2009

Learn a scientific and practical approach to well-being and future transformation by working with your personal energy field.
Shamans understand that each of us has a luminous energy field surrounding the physical body that holds a record of all our emotional, physical, and spiritual traumas. The luminous field is a blueprint that determines how we will heal, live, and even how we might die. The work of a shaman is to bring balance to this field.

In this experiential workshop, Alberto Villoldo, a leading teacher of shamanism, will share the shaman’s core practices of energy medicine. Practicing this scientific system of energy healing will allow you to discover states of exceptional health and well-being and participate in your future evolution. You will learn the illumination process to clear imprints in the energy field before they have a chance to express as disease in the body and a process for extracting toxic energies that have embedded themselves in the luminous energy field. We will also practice soul-retrieval work to revisit past traumatic events and recover the essential self.

Alberto Villoldo, PhD, is a medical anthropologist and psychologist who has studied and practiced the shamanic traditions of the Andes and Amazon for more than 30 years, researching and translating ancient healing modalities to make them practical, scientific, and contemporary for the Western world. Initiated by the last of the Incan shaman masters, in 1984 he founded The Four Winds Society, dedicated to bridging ancient shamanic healing practices with modern medicine and psychology. A former faculty member at San Francisco State University, he is the author of Shaman, Healer, Sage and Mending the Past and Healing the Future with Soul Retrieval.
