HOW TO DO MINDFULNESS MEDITATION
BY SAKYONG MIPHAM RINPOCHE

“Mindfulness practice is simple and completely feasible. Just by sitting and doing nothing, we are doing a tremendous amount.”

Learn to Learn to

Meditate

at Shambhala Mountain

It seems we all agree that training the body through exercise, diet, and relaxation is a good idea, but why don't we think about training our mind?
— Sakyong Mipham

Even in today’s high-paced, high-stress world, each one of us has the natural capacity to find peace, clarity, well-being and compassion within our own self. The means: meditation. The approach: a simple practice of coming back to the present moment via the breath, the body, and the senses. Learning to meditate in a retreat environment is an ideal way to get started or to deepen your practice.

At Shambhala Mountain, we offer a number of programs for both the beginning and experienced meditator. While drawing from the wisdom of the Buddhist tradition, we designed these "learn to meditate" courses with the demands of modern life in mind.

Whether you are just beginning to explore meditation or want to refine your current practice, we recommend our Shambhala Training levels and our Turning the Mind into an Ally programs.
