Family Camp: Registration for Adults & Children Not Eligible for Discounted Rates

Celebrate our extended community of families and practice together, while experiencing the beauty of the land at Shambhala Mountain.

In order to make the 2009 Family Camp program affordable to as many families as possible, Shambhala Mountain offers reduced rates for children of parents paying the full rate. The reduced rate for the first child in a family is $265, and the reduced rate for all additional children is $215 per child. The following are some examples that illustrate this:

1. Two Adults and Two Children Share One Tent: In this case, the adults each pay the regular tent double rate of $420 per person and the children pay the discounted rates of $265 and $215.

2. Two Adults and Two Children Share Two Tents: In this case, the two adults must each register for a tent single at the regular tent single rate of $535. Since both tents are now paid for by the adults, the children are eligible for the discounted rates of $265 and $215.

3. One Adult and One Child Share a Tent: The adult is charged at the tent single rate of $535 and the child is charged at the discounted first child rate of $265.


4. One Adult and One Child Share a Lodge Single with Private Bath: The adult is charged at the regular Lodge single rate of $1,020 and the child is charged the discounted rate of $265.

Following are examples of when children are NOT eligible for the discounted children rates.

5. One Adult and One Child Share a Lodge Double: Lodge Double rooms have two full size beds and are priced per person. Therefore, The adult is charged at the Lodge double rate of $735 and the child is also charged at the Lodge double rate of $735. The same pricing structure also applies to Red Feather Double accommodations.

6. One Adult and Two Children Share a Lodge Double: The adult and first child are each charged at the Lodge double rate of $735 as explained above, and the second child pays the discounted second child rate of $215.

Children also participating in the Rites of Passage program can be registered for that program by clicking on Rites of Passage. The charge for Rites of Passage is $80 per child.
