The Rigden Abhisheka enters the student into the practice of the Werma Sadhana. It is open to graduates of Shambhala Vajrayana Seminary who have completed their Shambhala ngöndro and to students who have already received the Werma Sadhana and completed their Kagyü Ngöndro.
*The application process for Rigden Abhisheka is managed by Shambhala International. Applications are reviewed by the Seminary Application Review Committee, under the direction of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. Acceptance is determined based eligibility. For information and to fill out an application, please click here to visit the Rigden Abhisheka web site. Please fill out the program application (i.e., verify your eligibility) and register with Shambhala Mountain Center (i.e., book your reservation) below. PLEASE NOTE: You are not fully registered for this program until your application has been approved by Shambhala International and you have registered with Shambhala Mountain Center. LODGING NOTICE: At this time, Shambhala Mountain Center has no remaining on-site housing options available for Rigden Abhisheka. We have secured a limited number of indoor off-land housing situations that we are offering on a first-come first- served basis. To sign up for off-land housing assistance status, please select the tent/dorm option below (please disregard the price) and note in the comments section of your registration that you desire our assistance in securing housing. The actual pricing options and information will be sent to you. You may also request to be waitlisted for on-land dorm accommodations that may become available. We encourage you to make your own housing arrangements if that is possible. Please note that you may still register for the program by selecting the $810 tent/dorm option below; however, by doing so you will be responsible for securing and paying for your own housing and transportation to and from the program. $810 is the full price for staying off-land (excluding materials fees and teacher's gift) and by selecting this option you are eligible to attend the Abhisheka in its entirety and partake in all meals and amenities included in the program. To secure your spot in the program a 50% deposit will be required, with the balance due by June 1, 2005. There is a wide range of available housing in the area from single-family vacation home rentals to rustic camping. Some suggestions for housing options include, but are not limited to, Lone Pine Realty: Barbara @ 800-419-2500 (970-881-2500) Ponderosa Realty: 800-531-2195 (970-881-2195) Suggestions for camping include, but are not limited to, Canyonside Campground: Roy @ 970-881-3481 Beaver Meadows: 970-881-2450 www.beavermeadows.com.
