Women's Practice Retreat: Yoga & Meditation with Katharine Kaufman

June 27 – July 1, 2007

Share your practice and build community in this intimate retreat for women on "The Way."
Share yoga practice, meditation and your stories as women on "The Way" in this unique retreat. Our daily practice will include silent sitting meditation practice, flowing yoga classes; deeply relaxing restorative yoga sessions and outdoor contemplative walking meditation. We will also build community and share our wisdom by creating an altar together and offering our "Way Seeking Mind" stories about own way, the path of our individual unfolding. Because of the intimate nature of this retreat, space will be limited to 15 participants. Previous yoga or meditation experience recommended.

Katharine Kaufman, MFA, teaches Ashtanga Yoga at The Yoga Workshop in Boulder, Colorado. She has studied in Mysore, South India, with Pattabhi Jois and Dr. Shankaranarayana Jois. Her principle teacher is Richard Freeman. Originally trained as a dancer, Katharine taught, choreographed and performed nationally for twenty years. Her background is steeped in poetry, women's art, zazen and good humor. She also teaches contemplative dance at Naropa University.
