Awakening the Deep Body: Yoga & Meditation Retreat with Wendy Bramlett

April 25 – 27, 2008

Rejuvenate yourself at our spring Hatha Yoga retreat.
Rich movement, directed into the deep tissue layers of the body, stimulates the circulation of our intrinsic life-giving energy, which is essential to genuine health and well-being. These layers include the bones, joints, intrinsic musculature, organs and fluids. Learning to access open, fluent movement in the body within the context of yoga is the intention of this retreat. Nourishment, unfolding ease and quiet revelation are the gifts we will receive from this vital style of yoga practice. Students at all levels of practice are welcome.

Wendy Bramlett is the founder of Studio Be Yoga in Boulder, Colorado. She began her study and practice yoga at the age of 18, and has been teaching since 1980. One of the first Western students of Ashtanga teacher K. Patthabi Jois, she also studied with many of BKS Iyengar's senior teachers. Wendy has been inspired by the inner-body yoga of Angela Farmer and the Continuum work of somatic pioneer Emilie Conrad, which ultimately led to the development of her own unique style of yoga based on engaging the natural intelligence of the body. Wendy’s teaching style reflects her deep understanding of the body and her appreciation for the internal practice of yoga.
