Volunteer Opportunities Coming Soon!
Wondering what to do this summer? Join the Shambhala Mountain Center Volunteer Program and work alongside other committed individuals and families contributing to a contemplative practice community, inspiring each other and serving the guests who come on the land. Live, work and practice in a mountain valley retreat located on 600 acres in northern Colorado.
We will be looking for summer volunteers for a variety of departments including: housekeeping, kitchen, finance, IT, programs, AV, guest services, gift store, facilities(plumbing/electrical), and Stupa maintenance.
Living and working in community on this beautiful and powerful land can be transformative and challenging.
Volunteer positions will begin late May 2010 and run until early August 2010. Ideal condiates have at minimum one full month to offer. Volunteer arrivals are on Thursdays. Housing (tents) and meals (buffet) are provided. Volunteers have access to some weekend programs, staff classes on a variety of topics (Shambhala Buddhism, yoga, Thangka drawing, and others), staff events and meditation instruction. Volunteers receive program credit to use towards attendance at future programs at SMC (2 year expiration).
