

Roland Cohen
Roland Cohen has been a student of Buddhism and Shambhala since 1973.
Mr. Cohen served as the Resident Senior Teacher for Shambhala in Auckland New Zealand from 2004 to 2008. Prior to that, he was the Resident Director of Shambhala Training in Boulder Colorado and President of a non-profit organization bringing meditation practice to prisoners throughout the United States. He has been involved in interfaith work for many years and founded Interfaith Contemplative Retreats, bringing together clergy, teachers and elders of diverse spiritual traditions in the Denver/ Boulder area. He has produced and hosted interfaith television shows on cable and Public Television including “The Town Hall Series” on KBDI, Colorado Public Television.
Currently Mr. Cohen is Associate Adjunct Faculty in Naropa University’s Transpersonal Psychology department in Boulder Colorado. He continues to teach Shambhala Training, Buddhist courses and instructor trainings throughout the U.S., New Zealand and Australia.
