Shambhala Mountain Center is offering special support for educators to attend the 2021 Mindfulness Retreat for Educators. Applications are collected through Shambhala Mountain Center and will be awarded on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Eligibility
- Employed full-time in a pre-K-12 school or school district setting
- Currently enrolled as a full-time student pursuing a M.Ed.
- Professionals working as early childcare providers (ages 0-3) (i.e. licensed day-care professionals, etc.)
This year, we are limiting attendees who have attended this retreat once before to 4 people, first come-first-served.
If you have attended this retreat in the past more than once, please allow primarily first-time retreatants to attend this year by foregoing your application.
Levels of Support
- For individuals who have never attended a residential meditation retreat longer than a weekend, the retreat will cost $215, plus a processing fee, for Red Feather Double lodging, or Tent Single if Red Feather Doubles are full. Retreatants may pay to upgrade if they wish.
- For individuals who have previously attended at least one meditation retreat longer than a weekend, the retreat will cost $600, plus a processing fee, for the same lodging described above.
Additional Information
- The lodging types available for these scholarships are our Red Feather Doubles. Retreatants may pay to upgrade if they wish. If the Red Feather Double is not available, scholarship funding will be used for the Tent Single.
- Scholarships do not cover travel expenses.
