Bodhisattva Vow with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
January 7, 2007
The Bodhisattva vow will be offered by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche during the monthlong Winter Dathün Meditation Retreat. As shrineroom space is extremely limited, a small number of people not attending the retreat but wishing to take the vow and attend the ceremony will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that the Bodhisattva vow ceremony is not public and is open only to those who are taking the vow or who have already taken the vow.
There is a $25 fee for those taking the vow and an additional $15 visitor fee for each guest (limited space available for guests). You must arrive at Shambhala Mountain Center on Friday January 5th by 10am in order to complete the required interview. Please bring a letter of recommendation from your meditation instructor as well as a teacher’s gift. The vow itself will be offered on Sunday, January 7th.
If you would like to take the Bodhisattva vow, please register below or by calling (888) STUPA-21 by Wednesday, January 3. Please note that the call center will be able to assist you after January 1.
The price listed reflects the cost of taking the vow. A very limited number of beds may be available for those wishing to stay overnight. Local lodging information is also available upon request. For further information contact our Housing Department directly at (970) 881-2184, ext. 235.
