Adana Barbieri is a senior teacher and student of Shambhala, having begun her studies initially with the Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche in Boulder in 1974. She has served in various capacities at SMC, most recently as the Director of Community Health and Well Being. She is a founding partner of DralaGroup, LLC, which is working to develop a model for contemplative cohousing communities. Adana is also a founding member and the Executive Director of Courageous Women, Fearless Living a non-profit organization that runs retreats for women touched by cancer.
Shastri Jonathan Barbieri is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Lineage who has taught Buddhist and Shambhala trainings extensively throughout North America for over 30 years. Jon has been engaged in several livelihood pursuits including consulting with cities and counties on workforce development, creating contemplative co-housing communities, and, most recently, teaching Mindfulness programs to public agencies and businesses. He was formerly the Executive Director of Shambhala Mountain Center.
