How do we go from one posture to the next safely and with awareness? Flow or Vinyasa Yoga teaches us to pay attention to movements in between. Synchronized with rhythmic breath we float, reach, suspend, pause, feel the ground, find lightness and delight while inhabiting the moving body. Free of striving, we find power and strength by preparing the body through stillness and small movements before we practice more spectacular sequences of postures. We will investigate this relevance of movement springing from stillness through sitting, lying and standing meditation. Finding unique ways to travel through postures, we will practice a variety of creative sun-salutations; explore floor sequences and a little playful improvisation. Appropriate for those with some yoga experience or the enthusiastic beginner.

This program may serve as a follow-up to Foundations of Yoga and Meditation taught by Katharine Kaufman March 25-27, 2011.
