Join us for this special program and allow your aspirations for the New Year to become clear. Become more confident, creative, and committed through reflection and renewal. Our gathering will include guided mindfulness-awareness meditation, body practice, creativity sessions, contemplative practices, and open time to get outdoors, rest and reflect.

General Schedule

Thursday, Dec 31: 1pm to 9pm
Friday, Jan 1: 9am to 8pm
Saturday, Jan 2: 9am to Noon

Breaks will be built into the schedule. Times above are MT. Of course, you may join from any timezone.

Preparation and materials

Materials you will need for the program: journal, pen, pencil, markers, art supplies (optional); one or two books of your choice that are inspiring, informative, and relevant; support cushions for seated meditation; yoga mat (optional); comfortable clothes for sitting, walking, and moving.

Registration

Registration will close two hours before the start of the program.

Recording

Audio recordings of the talks and meditation instructions will be made available to participants following the retreat.

Teachers

Jon Barbieri

Jonathan Barbieri is a senior teacher in the Shambhala Lineage who has taught Buddhist and Shambhala trainings extensively throughout North America for over 30 years. Jon has been engaged in several livelihood pursuits including consulting with cities and counties on workforce development, creating contemplative co-housing communities, and, most recently, teaching Mindfulness programs to public agencies and businesses. He was formerly the Executive Director of Shambhala Mountain Center.

Dhi Good

Dhi Good believes in creating intentional futures, and “The future makes a great present.” She studied Zen for 10 years before joining Shambhala. She teaches meditation as a senior teacher at Denver Shambhala Meditation Center and mindfulness for workplaces via dhigood.com. She works as a media consultant and instructional designer for nonprofit organizations. She earned an MS in Future Studies at University of Houston.

Program Details

This virtual retreat will be conducted on Zoom. After registration, you will receive an email with simple instructions for downloading and using Zoom on your computer, laptop, or other device. At least 24 hours before the start time, a link to join the retreat will be sent to you via email.
