Shambhala Training Level IV: Awakened Heart with Patti Chenis
March 16–18, 2012
Shambhala Training is a secular meditation training that develops fearlessness, confidence, openness, and gentleness towards ourselves and our world. These qualities arise out of meditation practice and the study of Shambhala warriorship. Shambhala Training welcomes people of all religious traditions as well as those who do not follow a particular spiritual path.
In Shambhala Training Level IV: Awakened Heart, we will learn to allow our hearts and intuitions to open so that we can communicate fully with the world. With trust in basic goodness and daring to experience the sharp edge of reality, we move forward with gentleness, increased awareness, and inquisitiveness about the world, as it is. We discover that we can extend ourselves to others fully and with kindness.
Patti Chenis has been practicing and studying the Shambhala and Buddhist teachings for over three decades and was as student of Chogyam Trungpa. She spent over three years living at Karme Choling, a meditation center in Vermont and a year at Gampo Abbey completing the first year of the three year retreat.
Patti is a psychotherapist for the Boulder County Mental Health Center, adjunct faculty at Naropa University and a grandmother. Her passion is art and working with people on their journey of discovery through the path of meditation and wisdom.
Financial aid is available for this program.
