Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with Janet Solyntjes

How can we face threatening illness, personal crisis, chronic pain or discomfort without falling into habitual patterns, projecting hope or fear onto the situation rather than seeing it freshly? Discover the healing power of mindfulness, the practice of meeting each moment with an open heart and mind, which can reduce stress, enhance health, and increase your joy and appreciation for life. This program will include sitting meditation, mindful yoga, body scan and a day of silence.

Janet Solyntjes, MA, teaches mindfulness practices at Naropa University, Shambhala Meditation Centers and Omega Institute. A practitioner of mind-body disciplines since 1977, she has trained in MBSR with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli of the Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
Janet Solyntjes, M.A. is a senior teacher (Shastri) in the Shambhala-Buddhist tradition and has offered mindfulness courses at Naropa University, Omega Institute, Hollyhock, Shambhala Mountain Center, and in corporate and non-profit workplaces. A practitioner of mind-body disciplines since 1977, she completed a professional training in MBSR with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli and is a Certified MBSR Teacher and faculty member of The Center for Mindfulness at the University of Massachusetts. Janet leads MBSR courses in Colorado and offers mindfulness seminars and retreats in the U.S. and internationally. She is the co-founder of the Boulder-based The Center for Courageous Living and is a teaching faculty member of the Engaged Mindfulness Institute.
