Plant Spirit Medicine with Eliot Cowan

Eliot Cowan

May 4–6, 2012

Tuition $185 + 2 nights

Plant Spirit Medicine is not only a practice but a way of approaching the world through a connection with the plant community. This retreat draws on millennial shamanic practices and teachings to bring us into balance and harmony with the natural forces and wisdom that surrounds us. We will learn how to trust our communication with the elements, hear the graceful insights of plants and feel into the full spectrum of our human existence. A ritual fire Saturday evening will introduce us to the wisdom of Tatewari, the deity of fire and trainer of shamans.

Eliot Cowan, author of Plant Spirit Medicine, was initiated as a Marakame(shaman) in the Huichol Indian tradition by Don Guadalupe Gonzalez Rios in 1998. He began the study and practice of herbalism in the 1960’s and completed a Master of Acupuncture degree with J.R. Worsley in England in the 1970’s.
