Qigong and Meditation Retreat

This program integrates qigong and meditation with an emphasis on how these practices support one another in nourishing a healthy body and cultivating a clear mind. The daily practice will interlace several sessions of sitting and walking meditation led by Acharya Dale Asrael, with qigong sessions presented by Eva Wong. Qigong Levels I-V will be reviewed and new materials introduced, including special sessions on Jing practice and marrow washing, organ cleansing and focusing the spirit. This retreat is a prerequisite for entrance into Qigong Level VI instruction. Interviews will be given to those who wish to advance to Level VI, and acceptance into this level is based upon these interviews.
Prerequisite: Qigong Levels I-V
NOTE: Interviews by Eva Wong and Acharya Dale Asrael will be given to those who have completed all program requirements for Qigong Level VI (Qigong Levels I-V and all intensives) and who wish to be considered for acceptance into Level VI.
Qigong- Eva Wong, author and translator of 13 books on the Taoist arts of health, meditation, and qigong, is the 19th generation lineage carrier of Xiantianwujimen Taoism and 3rd generation student of Wang Xiangzhai, founder of the Yiquan martial arts and Zhangshuan (standing qigong).
Fengshui- Eva Wong is a practitioner of several systems of traditional Chinese Fengshui, including Kanyu (land form), Xuankong (Flying Stars), Sanyuan (Three Periods), and Sanhe (Three Combinations). She consults in the Fengshui of residences, commercial enterprises, and spiritual practice centers worldwide. She is also the author of over 13 books on Taoism. Her Fengshui books are: Fengshui: The Ancient Wisdom of Harmonious Living for Modern Times and A Master Course in Fengshui.
Divination- Eva Wong is a lineage carrier of Xiantianwujimen Taoism, a lineage that specializes in qigong as well as divination and the study of the I Ching.
Acharya Dale Asrael leads retreats and meditation programs internationally. She was appointed Dean of Meditation Instructors for Shambhala International by Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche. Dale studies qigong with, and has been authorized to teach by, Daoist lineage-holder Eva Wong. Dale is an Associate Professor at Naropa University, in the Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and Master of Divinity programs. She is the founder and teacher of Naropa’s Mindfulness Instructor Training program.
