This program has been cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Join us for this unique retreat combining practices of body, perception, and meditation to support immersion into a complete mindfulness mandala. We practice on the meditation seat within daily periods of silence, allowing us to deepen into stillness and open to spontaneously arising wakefulness. Additionally, we practice through outdoor explorations of the sense perceptions in nature, through daily hatha yoga sessions for body-mind alignment, and through Indelible Presence Brush led by artist Cynthia Moku. These are contemplative brush and ink practices designed to highlight and detail naturally arising qualities of our meditative journey.
The meditation sessions focus on both the relative level, becoming familiar with habit patterns of contracted identity and the core beliefs that limit us; and the ultimate level, discovering the intrinsic heart-mind of clear-seeing and compassion that dawns naturally as awareness. The retreat culminates in “forest yogin” practice—an extended period of silent practice on the land, meeting whatever arises in the moment as the ultimate reflection.
