Warrior Assembly with Dan Hessey & Melissa Moore

The culmination of the Shambhala Training Sacred Path series, this 10-day retreat provides a living teaching in creating enlightened society. We will receive transmission and training in the advanced Shambhala practices of stroke and lungta, and study the root text The Golden Sun of the Great East. Warrior Assembly is a prerequisite for attending Shambhala Vajrayana Seminary.

Prerequisites: Completion of the Shambhala Training Sacred Path programs through Golden Key and membership in your local Shambhala Center.

Dan Hessey has been a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche since 1973. He began his study of the Shambhala teachings in 1977 and has since taught all levels of Shambhala Training throughout the United States, as well as in Mexico and Australia. This will be his third time directing Warrior Assembly. A former director of Shambhala Mountain Center, he is now a member of the Center’s board of directors. In addition to being a student of Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, Dan studies Chinese classics with Eva Wong.

Melissa Moore has been teaching Shambhala Training, Maitri Space Awareness and contemplative psychology extensively throughout Europe and the U.S. since 1995. She cofounded Karuna Training, a three-year professional certificate program in contemplative psychology that is held both in Germany and the Netherlands. She is currently working as a clinical director and training director of a San Francisco mental health agency. She is a long-time student of both Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

Financial Assistance: Warrior Assembly is a Shambhala International program and has different procedures for applying for financial assistance than other Shambhala Mountain programs. Financial assistance awards will be determined based on relative need.

A LIMITED AMOUNT of INDOOR HOUSING is available for persons who require indoor accommodations because of health related matters.
