Whether you are seeking to establish your ngöndro practice or are an experienced practitioner, join us for this special winter program. By practicing in a group context while also fostering camaraderie and celebration, we will increase both our personal and the group’s windhorse, thus giving power and potency to the vision of Shambhala. All ngöndro practitioners are warmly invited to this practice intensive. This retreat fulfills the group practice requirement for Rigden Ngöndro practitioners.
Prerequisite: Shambhala Vajrayana Seminary
Janet Solyntjes has been a part of the Shambhala sangha since 1984. She is a senior Shambhala Training director and has taught meditation courses at Naropa University. In addition, she is a teacher of Mindfulness -Based Stress Reduction and offers MBSR classes in the Front Range and leads MBSR retreats at Shambhala Mountain Center and Hollyhock. She is the co-founder of The Center for Courageous Living.
Our intent is to encourage and support intensive practice opportunities for Shambhala community members. Therefore for those ngöndro practitioners who are not able to afford our regular room and board rates we are making available a special discounted room and board rate of $40 per night for seasonal dorm accommodations. Acharya Dale Asrael leads retreats and meditation programs internationally. She was appointed Dean of Meditation Instructors for Shambhala International by Sakyong Mipham, Rinpoche. Dale studies qigong with, and has been authorized to teach by, Daoist lineage-holder Eva Wong. Dale is an Associate Professor at Naropa University, in the Mindfulness-based Transpersonal Counseling Psychology and Master of Divinity programs. She is the founder and teacher of Naropa’s Mindfulness Instructor Training program.
