Sean Guard is a mindfulness instructor who helps teachers find their own version of balance, perspective, and resilience. He has been a meditation practitioner in the Soto Zen and Shambhala traditions since 1991, worked in urban public schools for fifteen years, and has been on the faculty of Passageworks since 2013. He holds a master’s degree in education and in 2015 received a Jared Polis Teacher Recognition Award for his work as the department chair for English Language Development at Aurora Central High School.
